As part of the Science Week on 09.04.21, a large-scale online scientific seminar “Scientific and technical progress in Metallurgy”was held. The seminar was moderated by Doctor of PhD, senior lecturer Yesengaliev D. A. the seminar was attended by foreign scientists, doctoral students and undergraduates, as well as associate professors of the Department “Metallurgy, Mining and Oil and Gas” of the Faculty Kelamanov B. S., Sariev O. R., Zhumagaliev E. U. The seminar was attended by scientists of the Institute of Metallurgy of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Zhuchkov V. I., Zayakin O. V., Mikhailova L. Yu. Made a presentation on the topic:” Dephosphorization by the method of returning high-phosphorous niobium raw materials”. The results of research work on the technology of producing a deeply dephososphated ferroniobium alloy based on niobium metal were shared at the seminar.

A report on the topic “Physical and chemical research and development of technology for producing bar-containing ferroalloys” was made by Ilya Kel from this Metallurgical Institute. The novelty of the research project is to conduct comprehensive studies of the extracellular silicothermic regeneration of Boron metal.

Kobegen Yerolat from the Department of Metallurgy, Tau-ken and Oil and Gas Engineering of the Faculty of Technology, Aktobe Regional State University named after K. Zhubanov made a report on the topic “Research of physical and chemical processes in the agglomeration of various polydisperse materials”. A report on the topic “Environmental solutions in the production of ferrochrome” was made by Bertuyev Adelbek, a 2nd-year master’s student of the metallurgical specialty of the Department “Metallurgy, Mining and Oil and Gas” of the Technical Faculty of the Aktobe Regional State University named after K. Zhubanov. The general scientific seminar was held at a very high level. At the end of the seminar, questions were asked to scientists, doctoral students and undergraduates-participants. Special attention was paid to the ways of achieving new scientific progress in metallurgical production. We express our gratitude to all the participants and organizers of the seminar.
